woah, earthquake!

At 4am, we had a 4.4 magnitude earthquake with the epicenter about 10 miles from us.  We felt it shake pretty hard although I don't recall the building creaking.  Lawrence was already awake and he quickly woke me up.  We tossed on our robes and went outside the building as a precaution.  It reinforced how we've laxed in our earthquake preparedness.  We had a backpack filled with emergency supplies, but then ate the cans of soup when we were low on food and dumped all the stuff out when we had to use the backpack.
