- a nice frying pan
- a nice sauce pan
- an Asian hot water thermos that's not plastic lined

mmmm, i beg to differ on the following:
- a rolling pin: CHEAP. <$5 if you go to ikea, or to the local goodwill. and it's completely changed my life in regards to cookies/pie dough.
- a bread machine: you don't need one to make bread.
- a nice frying pan: you'll use this often enough, won't you?
- a nice sauce pan: same?
i would love a food processor, silpat, nice mandoline, pizza stone, and... i'm sure a lot of other things. when did we get so domesticated??
rolling pin - takes up a fairly large chunk of space in a drawer.
bread machine - true that, and i should probably actually try baking some first before saying i want a bread machine for the convenience.
pots & pans - yes, but for a nice one, OMG they are expensive! I bought a large All-Clad stock pot on sale at a Williams Sonoma outlet, and it was still like $100.
A pizza stone sounds awesome too...I wonder if you could make good naan on it? Oooh, and a mandoline would definitely cut down on veggie slicing time.
